Te Hiringa Mahara, formally known as the Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission, opened its doors on 9 February 2021 to bring leadership abilities and oversight to the transformation of our mental health and addiction system, and to contribute to better and equitable mental health and wellbeing results for all people in Aotearoa.
We are pursuing te ao M?ori skills to work on three projects within the mental health and addiction sector leadership abilities portfolio:
   » Developing methods and measures for the te ao M?ori perspective of the He Ara ?whina framework
   » Using these methods and measures to monitor and report on mental health and addiction services
   » Data gathering, analysis and writing on an insight report on Kaupapa M?ori mental health and addiction services
We are seeking for expressions of interest from M?ori, or a M?ori-led approach, with skills in matauranga and te ao M?ori frameworks. Ideally you will also have practice with qualitative and quantitative data approaches, excellent writing skills, and understand the mental health and addiction system.
This is a great time to join our small team and contribute to improving mental health and wellbeing for M?ori, our priority population groups, and for all people living in Aotearoa.
As a Te Tiriti o Waitangi-grounded organisation, we are committed to fulfilling our responsibility as an independent Crown entity to honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi and work in partnership with M?ori as tangata whenua.
