Job Opportunity: Labourers/strawberry Pickers:Job description:Labourers/strawberry PickersPayment: Accommodation & Paid ($22.20 hr incl holiday pay)Job location: Kumeu Region: Auckland practice: Limited practice Necessary Listing Added: 07/09/2021 We are currently hiring for labourers for the upcoming harvest season. Work is available now for putting out straw on - Friday 8am to 3pm, and picking will commence late September through to December 2021. Due to Covid-19 travel restrictions you will need a travel permit to enter Auckland and this will be provided to you as essential workers in the horticulture industry. Please allow time for processing *As of 11.59pm, Thursday 9 September, permitted workers will need to show proof that they have had a test within the past 7 days, before they cross the border, not proof they are COVID-19 free. KEY INFORMATION » A number of jobs, including picking, are paid on an hourly rate. Quality is very important and we have set a target for the quantity of berries picked each day. » A start out rate of $20.50 + 8% holiday pay loading is offered and remuneration will be increased located on practice and performance » As fruit needs to be picked in the cooler part of the day work will often start early in the morning. We harvest seven days a week from October to December. A number of tasks involve manual work including lifting, bending and twisting so workers need to be fit and healthy as well as have a positive attitude. Most of the work is undertaken in supervised teams or groups. .Accomodation is available, we have sleeping cabins (unpowered), a fully equipped kitchen, common room wifi, showers and toilets. We can also accomodate s/c vehibles. Located 20mins from CBD with good services in area. We have a great multi national group so come and join us. You must have eligibility to work in NZ.
