   »A fixed term Research agent opportunity for an practiced researcher with a passion for out of hospital research.
The Department of Paramedicine is seeking a Research agent to join their team at AUT’s South Campus in Manukau for a one-year fixed contract. The prosperous applicant will work with a team of researchers within the department’s Paramedicine Research Unit (PRU) to produce research that aims to enhance the practices of Whakarongorau Aotearoa / New Zealand Telehealth Services users and their wh?nau. Their tasks will primarily include obtaining all required clearances to undertake research, sourcing and applying for available funding opportunities, collecting, cleaning, and analysing available data, interpreting data analysis results, drawing inferences and conclusions, and presenting the results at a quality standard that allows Information technology to be used for publication in journals, reports, and conferences.
candidates must hold a degree in a health-related field with equivalent research practice and have previous and demonstrated practice in:
   » Applying for necessary ethics and locality approvals to conduct research.
   » Identifying sources of funding, preparing research proposals, and submitting funding applications.
   » Collecting, recording, and analysing data.
   » Interpreting data analysis results and drawing inferences and discussing conclusions.
   » Collaborating with research teams, industry stakeholders, and government agencies.
   » practice in integrating te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice and/or research contexts.
   » Can work autonomously and ask for support when required.
   » capability to communicate and present information effectively.
practice with data management and Microsoft Office software applications is essential for this function, as are excellent verbal and written communication expertise. candidates should have completed a significant postgraduate (preferably master’s level) qualification. A good knowledge of tikanga M?ori is essential to support staff within the bi-cultural context of Aotearoa/New Zealand.
The function is located at AUT South Campus but has the potential for anchor days at Whakarongorau Aotearoa / New Zealand Telehealth Services.
this function is considered a children’s worker function and will be subject to safety checking as part of theChildren’s Act 2014.
income Range:
Research agent:$62,000 – $90,000(appointment level and income commensurate with expertise and practice)
