Job Opportunity: 22/439 Ministerial Advisor (Level 2):Job description:Job DescriptionType: Events locatedHours: Full time Job location: Wellington Business Group : Ministerial Services and Secretariat Support Branch: Information and Knowledge Services income: $92,135 – $124,652 » Provide high level advice to the Minister » Be part of a Government that is putting New Zealander's first » Fast paced and ever-changing environment Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan, Minister for the Community and Voluntary Sector, Minister for Diversity, Inclusion and Ethnic Communities, Minister for Youth, Associate Minister for Social Development and Employment and Associate Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety is seeking a Ministerial Advisor to join her team. You will support the Minister by providing sound political advice which will lead to quality and timely decision making and ultimately enhance Government policy decision-making. The ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge of government and public service protocols and processes, which leads to effective decision making. Your communication expertise and political knowledge will be required to quickly build effective working relationships within the Minister's team, peers and key stakeholders. The function of Ministerial Advisor requires a high level of trust and self-management, allowing you to work independently while contributing to team results. Information technology is essential you are able to keep the Minister and staff informed of issues that impact on the workings of government. Outstanding written and verbal communication expertise along with attention to detail are essential. A significant tertiary qualification and/or previous practice working in a ministerial office or government department are highly desirable. It is a necessary requirement of this function to hold a National Security Clearance. There are certain criteria that must be met in this regard.
