You are a senior adviser who can think on your feet, work through ambiguity to drive work forward and manage relationships. You'll be engaging with candidates directly, supporting them to prepare proposals for funding, completing fund administration tasks; writing approval documents, generating contracts, and monitoring what needs to be delivered against contracts.
You must be able to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous and evolving environment, able to understand different perspectives and manage potential risks. A good knowledge of the funding lifecycle and government procurement rules is desirable, but not a prerequisite.
We are pursuing candidates who are competent in te reo, tikanga and m?tauranga M?ori who are able to competently and confidently manage relationships with Iwi/M?ori candidates. You will use your knowledge and skills to support the team to build their confidence, capcapability and capacity to support Iwi/M?ori candidates. He ng?kau titikaha, he hononga tangata.
You will be working with a great team, who collaborate and support each other. What you may not know about government, the funding lifecycle and government procurement rules, your team in return will assist you to build your capcapability in those areas.

It is essential you have significant practice working with external stakeholders, and Iwi/M?ori, preferably with potential and prosperous candidates in a funds management environment. You also need:
   » competency in te reo, tikanga and m?tauranga M?ori
   » as a priority stakeholder, an capability to understand and communicate with Iwi/M?ori
   » practice in supporting others on their te reo, tikanga and m?tauranga M?ori journey
   » knowledge of New Zealand's art, culture and heritage sector is highly desirable
   » an capability to develop strong project plans and manage the plans through to completion
   » practice in outcome focussed contract management
   » practice in presenting ideas to senior leadership abilities, both in writing and verbally
   » the capability to positively engage with and influence people
   » an capability to contribute to and embrace new and revised ways of working.
