Job Description

Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission leads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.
The Workforce, Employment Relations and Equity group is responsible for the development of the Public Service Workforce strategies, including workforce attraction, recruitment and mobilisation, driving improvements in fair compensate and recognition and other areas that contribute to the Public Service being an exemplar employer. Information technology is also responsible for strategic employment relations management across the Public Service and delivering first class workforce and employment relations policy advice to the government of the day.
In this function you will develop a comprehensive stakeholder relationship strategy for the Group. You will build robust stakeholder engagement systems and processes and provide advice and leadership abilities to each of the teams in the Group to ensure that stakeholder engagement expectations are met.
To be prosperous in this function you will have the expertise and practice to work across the Public Service, superviseing consultation, engagement and stakeholder management with Ministers, Board Chairs, Chief Executives, Heads of Human Resources Employment Relations Leads and other key stakeholders. You will develop trust and confidence in the work of the Workforce Employment Relations and Equity Group to support the prosperous delivery of the work programme.

This position usually pays between $121,380 to $149,940 depending on expertise and practice.
