Scenario: The primary function of this function is to ensure the reliable operations of the company's Information technology assets, and assisting with planning, directing, and coordinating the design, installation, and connectivity of the existing network infrastructure, and the optimisation of new hardware, software, and communication. Particular focus is around Back-up, Disaster Recovery, Monitoring, and Security. Being so reliant on technology, the importance of top level security and monitoring, plus disaster recovery, is paramount.
Criteria: The emphasis of this function will be your technical capability but equally important will be your capability to communicate with key stakeholders both verbally and written, plus being able to work in a highly developed team environment and be able to ?connect? with internal stakeholders and external service providers as to what the systems and infrastructure can deliver. As an Engineer you will understand the complexities of Information technology operations and have a verifiable track record of success in your previous functions. Technical and ?Soft? expertise We're after someone who is highly practiced in Information technology operations within a complex organisation, and who has a solid knowledge of Cyber Security Risk and ideally has a good knowledge of both ITIL and NIST Frameworks. Information technology governance will be foremost and supporting project delivery will be an imperative. Key to the success in this function, is your capability to transcend from hands-on through to strategy and planning, and being able to help define and and implement the plan and "mature" this client's environment into a standardised, easily scalable and zero trust network
Because of the critical nature of the function, you will need to have a flexible approach to work as there is likely to be extended hours and potentially weekend work from time-to-time.
