Our Supported Housing Regional Leads are committed and passionate individuals who ‘go the extra mile’. They are part of a team who perform incredible work to support the wellbeing of the people living in our homes by ensuring our properties are of good quality, and maintained to an agreed standard of living. The function is integrated into regional planning and operations, so that regional providers’ demands and requirements for properties are well understood, and they are supported through the significant application process for new properties.
The Supported Housing Regional Lead is a strategic and high-paced function where every day is varied and requires our people to be empathetic to our cause at K?inga Ora. The function is an integral part of the organisation that builds and maintains significant and lasting relationships with providers and various stakeholders; to ensure our whanau and communities can navigate life challenges whilst also enabling them to live with dignity in their home and the wider community.
Te Puku Ikaroa Region (Central Region) have a large number of Kaupapa Maori Providers and a key focus of this function will be around working with and supporting these providers.
The right candidate for this function will have a good knowledge of (and not necessarily fluency in) Te Ao Maori and will be excited about the opportunity to work with our Maori providers.

   » An knowledge of public and supported housing
   » Strong relationship management and networking expertise
   » capability to confidently manage multiple tasks
   » capability to negotiate, make informed decisions and deal with conflict
   » Demonstrated analytical practice
   » An knowledge of Te Ao Maori concepts and practices
   » An knowledge of the implications of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its respective interpretations by Iwi/hapu
   » practice working constructively across functions and a track record of building and maintaining the trust of all stakeholders
   » Knowledge of health and safety policies, evacuation policies, fire requirements, Building Warrant of Fitness
   » Demonstrated practice in systems such as Oracle and EAM
