Ko t? m?tou mahi – Our function The Principal Sustaincapability Advisor plays a key leadership abilities function within the K?inga Ora sustaincapability programme by providing strategic and regulatory advice as well as input into and delivery planning, located on an expert knowledge of sustaincapability implications and opportunities in the built environment for a range of strategic and legislative initiatives. Ng? p?manawatanga ?u – What you will bring: » a qualification and significant significant practice in Sustaincapability and its application in buildings, construction, infrastructure or urban planning » knowledge of M?tauranga M?ori and application to sustaincapability (not essential) » demonstrated practice managing a complex and busy workload » a demonstrated capability to introduce new thinking; to think conceptually; and, provide pragmatic advice to decision makers in relation to potential issues that may have an impact on the organisation’s future capability to operate or on the achievement of investment objectives » very strong written and oral communication expertise, including proven capability to produce high-quality advice to decision makers, opinion leaders and colleagues, clearly articulating the recommended course of action, level of certainty, opportunity and risks including demonstrated practice presenting complex strategies using compelling arguments and visual effects » practice in prioritising demands, meeting deadlines and delivering desired results by taking ownership, delegating effectively and using effective self and time management approaches to deliver results » a proven record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with individuals, groups and peers – able to collaborate, influence, manage competing interests, manage conflict and work effectively with senior leadership abilities and multiple internal and external stakeholders including development industry professionals, local and central government agencies » sound judgement evident in operational decision making and able to make accurate and timely decisions when under pressure of tight deadlines and to consistently deliver on time » excellent interpersonal and relationship management expertise and capability to operate at the most senior levels of the organisation with minimal supervision.
