Job Opportunity: Base Staff Position - Yacht Charter:Job description:Base Staff Position - Yacht CharterPayment: Paid Position ($22)Job location: Picton Region: Marlborough/Blenheim/Picton practice: Limited practice Necessary Listing Added: 09/10/2022 We are a small yacht charter company and have yachts, launches and runabouts in our charter fleet which need to be maintained to a high standard. The majority of the work is done here in Waikawa Marina, at the base (office) and on the boats in the marina getting them ready for clients to take out on charter over the summer. This position covers all sorts - Mostly cleaning and checking the boats, organising the stores at the base, loading and preparing the boats. Washing decks, refilling water tanks etc. If you have boating practice, the job could include some basic boat maintenance, face to face interaction with customers, including boat/systems/area briefings onboard the vessels, meeting boats to refuel them, catching lines and so on. A broad expertise of boat systems is an advantage. It is a fun, varied and interesting job that requires an all hands on deck attitude.
