Provides training for specialized jobs » Ensures that machinery; equipment and work areas shall be properly maintained in safe working condition (including PM maintenance) » Builds positive working relationship with all department employees » Monitor production lines for flow and maintain a steady state of production throughout the day in order to meet daily production targets » Ensure all production paperwork, backorders and recuts are all done in a timely manner » Follow up with any outstanding issues » Back up for absent employees, etc. » Communicates with other Departmental Employees, Supervisors and encourages interdepartmental communication and collaboration » Demonstrates strong leadership skills, leads by example and is accountable for all areas of the department » Assists Supervisor/Manager to ensure that shift production goals are met. » Trouble shoots issues and escalates accordingly. » Other duties as assigned. The Requirements: » Physically able & reliable » Strong Health and Safety focus » Organizational skills and the ability to priorities under pressure » Ability to work in a small team » Experienced in manufacturing environment (glass manufacturing experience would be considered an asset) » Superior leadership skills with a hands on approach to management » Strong interpersonal and communication skills » Mechanical aptitude To be eligible you must be able to pass our pre-employment screening which includes: » Ministry of Justice Checks » Drug Screening including synthetic testing » Reference Checking (2 working references) If your wanting to work for a nationally recognized company, then apply on line with an up to date CV today.
