ACC’s Injury avoidance teams are working to ensure communities in Aotearoa are safe and inclusive places for tamariki, child and young people to grow up, play and live. We are at the forefront of critical and exciting work in primary avoidance. Come and help us to make Information technology happen!
this function sits within the relatively small and emerging Child Youth Wellbeing team in Injury avoidance. As an Injury avoidance Partner you will be responsible for co-developing and implementing a range of initiatives that uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi and reduce harm to children and prevent child sexual abuse. A typical day in this function will see you enabling communities to grow mana-enhancing and tapu-enriched relationships, working closely with partners across government agencies to action change and progressing strengths-located approaches through ACC and partnership channels.
What you need to be prosperous in this function will include the following:
   » practice of community mobilisation, child youth wellbeing and/or primary avoidance, with a focus on making equitable change happen
   » practice of child sexual abuse avoidance and/or family and sexual violence avoidance is preferable
   » Cultural intelligence and confidence in working with tikanga M?ori, and an knowledge of the diverse realities of wh?nau
   » practice of intersectionality, marginalised communities such as Pasefika, migrant, rainbow and children with disabilities
   » practice in working autonomously, and as part of a multi-disciplinary team in an ever-changing environment
   » Tolerance to the subject matter is paramount, so please consider this carefully prior to lodging an application
