About the function
This is an continuing contract function for a highly skilled HR professional with Remuneration Specialist practice to gather and provide quality researched information for future financial adjustments around income and performance. The right person will have valuable practice within a large to medium sized business, analysing performance capabilities and have the expert skill set to draw reports that will influence the entire analysis of re-salarising a business to be competitive with market rates. Therefore, your practice as an HR specialist will go hand in hand with your practice analysing income data.
You will be working with an NZ wide company with over 100 years practice in their field of fiduciary support and estate planning. This is an opportunity to make significant changes within an established organisation seeking to be the best they can be. An opportunity that doesn’t come along very often, being self-guided and autonomous, with research as the base of everything you do.
This position requires a high degree of delicacy and confidentiality that will ensure minimal disruption to the team. As a senior HR professional, you will be responsible for gaining a full knowledge of the level of performance each position is responsible for, by interviewing, researching market comparisons and formulating individual reports. Therefore your reporting expertise need to be succinct, accurate, and of an add-value nature, while drawing on your senior practice to fully understand the characteristics of a function, and the performance being salaried.
Your reports will involve indepth analysis of market rates verses current salaries, and will provide accurate data to support any adjustments you advise. This will involve a deep dive into the team’s current responsibilities and tasks within each function in this organisation, and looking to the wider NZ marketplace to compare packages and performance benefits. While a larger NZ team forms a significant part of the organisation, you will be focusing on the Auckland located Executive to Mid Management team to begin with. The information you provide, needs to be formalised in a concise and well structured report, that can then be used to enhance and guide performance reviews and income guides for the future.
The structure and manner of how you approach this project, is your decision. Information technology is expected that you will approach this in stages, with space between, so your availcapability, flexibility between requirements, and commitment to the completion of this project is key. You will have the support and liaison with decisions makers at every step.
About you
You’ll have a very thorough knowledge of Remuneration levels and practice working with teams around the analysis and restructure of salaries in a mid-large sized organisation. You will have high level HR practice and proven analytical and data reporting expertise, with a genuine passion for the function you play in advising decision makers. Your attention to detail will be fastidious, and you will be able to work to timelines and deadlines. The function requires a senior level personality who can work autonomously but with great communication along the way, to ensure that this review is conducted with the highest level of professionalism.
The function will have access to sensitive remuneration information as well as performance related confidential information, and as such requires an individual with a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
