As a Recovery Partner working in our Te Ara Tika team you will make a difference in the lives of some of ACC’s most vulnerable clients. You will be working with clients across New Zealand who have a diverse range of injuries, from noncomplex physical injuries right through to clients who have very complex background, mental health histories, and some who may have a mental injury as a result of sexual violence.

What can I expect?
As a Recovery Partner Te Ara Tika you will partner with your clients, their wh?nau and providers to progress towards goals and results. You will be using your unique expertise to build confidence, trust and partnering with your client, their family/whanau, support people and providers in a holistic way. Communication will be by phone, email, skype or face to face, ensuring you provide the most appropriate treatments and support for the best results for your client.
This work is challenging and requires significant personal resilience, for the right individual this will also be a hugely compensateing and significant function.

What would I need to be prosperous?
   » Proven capability to provide support to individuals through complex circumstances
   » Personal resilience and capability to deal with challenging information and situations
   » capability to manage a complex workload, which incorporates empathy and trust while providing robust and appropriate well-being services
   » Proven practice in creating effective partnerships to achieve significant client results
   » Solid written and communication expertise with proven capability to establish and build relationships with clients and whanau, providers and advocates – knowledge the importance diversity and inclusion through recovery especially given the geographical range of these clients.
   » Health background and knowledge of ACC’s treatments and supports for clients with a serious injury and discapability services is desirable
