Background
This short-term contract for a seasoned procurement professional is required to support a small procurement team within a national public sector organisation during a busy period over the coming months. The function You will take the lead on some procurement activities such as creating and/or managing tenders, chairing evaluations, and leading processes; contract management such as signing up new suppliers, contract negotiations and decisions on clauses; managing stakeholders and processes; and providing support to the team. You will also provide assistance with some key projects involving new data management and contract management systems the organisation is going out to market for, which could also include working with Information technology to assist with implementation, roll out, and establishing and implementing processes. practice Required Ideally, you will have at least 5-10 years' practice in procurement at a senior level, including within the public sector where you have gained a strong knowledge of the Government Rules of Sourcing Procurement. A sound knowledge of procurement processes, policies and procedures, strong analytical expertise, RFI/RFQ/RFP practice along with strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement expertise, supported by significant tertiary qualifications (MCIPS desirable) is sought for this function.
