   »0.50 FTE Fixed-Term (March 2023 to March 2024)

The School of Clinical Sciences is seeking a kaupapa M?ori researcher/s to contribute to research that aims to enhance t?roro (patient) and wh?nau practices and to identify factors that need to be incorporated in decision-making on out-of-hospital policy change.
We are pursuing a research agent to support the research which is co-led by Aroha Brett (Ng?ti Ranginui, Ng?ti Maniapoto) and A/Prof Bridget Dicker. this function involves whakawhanaungatanga and recruitment of participants for three w?nanga (focus groups), facilitating w?nanga, analysing w?nanga data, assisting with future funding applications, and supporting our continuing engagement with stakeholders.
In this function, We are pursuing a researcher with:
   » expertise of Kaupapa M?ori research
   » practice in qualitative research (required)
   » practice in completing literature reviews and written reports
   » practice in integrating te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice and/or research contexts
   » Can work autonomously and ask for support when required
   » capability to communicate and present information effectively
The prosperous applicant/s will become part of a supportive team with a strong commitment to te Tiriti o Waitangi in our research and everyday practices within the Paramedicine Department.
Kaimahi M?ori will be supported and engaged within a growing network of M?ori staff.
