Senior Advisor – Kaupapa M?ori Sexual Violence Service Development

We are seeking for an practiced senior advisor that can bring a te ao M?ori analysis practice to the development of Kaupapa M?ori and tauiwi sexual violence services.
The Safe, Strong Families and Communities (SSFC) team sits within the Community, Partnerships and Programmes business unit and delivers MSD's response to family violence, sexual violence and building financial capcapability across New Zealand.
The sexual violence team designs, delivers and procures sexual violence support services across New Zealand, with a focus on increasing the availcapability, accessibility and quality of these services. In this function you will be part of an innovative team committed to improving access to sexual violence/mahi t?kino support services for individuals and wh?nau that have been affected by sexual violence/mahi t?kino.
We are after someone that is practiced, innovative and committed to this kaupapa.
About the function
As a Senior Advisor your function will be focused on designing and implementing sexual violence services - including developing a service that is by M?ori, for M?ori. You will bring your strong writing expertise and an knowledge of M?ori models of practice to deliver high quality advice and reports that support the development of sexual violence support services.
You will be part of a small dynamic team who work:
   » across Government agencies (especially the Te Puna Aonui agencies)
   » directly with non government agencies, including those that deliver Kaupapa M?ori sexual violence support services
   » with significant business Units and teams within MSD
   » to ensure sexual violence support services are responsive to M?ori
   » to support the wider team culture
About you
To be prosperous in the function, you will:
   » Possess strong writing expertise
   » Possess a high level of analysis from te ao M?ori with appropriate networks
   » Be familiar with M?ori models of practise used within the sexual violence support sector and/or social services
   » Be able to deliver high quality communication from a te ao M?ori perspective
   » Have service design and implementation practice
   » Have a demonstrated capability of working collaboratively
   » Be able to deliver and work to deadlines
   » Be an innovative thinker that can provide practical solutions for complex issues
We also value practice and knowledge in these areas:
   » Conversational levels of te reo M?ori me ?na tikanga
   » significant practice with non-government organisations, preferably in the sexual violence sector
   » practice working in the community with wh?nau M?ori
   » Procurement practice
   » Policy practice
   » Knowledge of tikanga M?ori approaches
This is a new challenge for a highly capable Senior Advisor to apply their te ao Maori analysis and service design practice. An knowledge of sexual violence or practice within the sector is desirable
