We are seeking for a dairy farm adjunct to help out on our 700 cow farm just north of the cool little township of Oamaru (15min drive away). We are either looking for a short term person (a month) to fill a gap, or a more long term position is available if interested. We have a furnished accommodation unit with electricity and internet available free of charge. The position involves milking cows through a herringbone shed, shifting cows on a 2 wheel motorbike and other farm jobs (might including shifting temporary fences, weed work etc). Cows are milked at 4.30am and 2pm daily. We have 3 other staff as well as ourselves, a couple sharemilking. We are preferably looking for someone who has some practice previously milking cows.
