SENIOR BOARD/GOVERNANCE ADMINISTRATOR

The Organisation

This organisation has an important function to play with development within the Auckland region. Their primary involvement is liaison between key stakeholders within both the public and private sectors during this process.
The decision has been made to create this new function and offer Information technology on a fixed term basis in the early stages of the function creation,
The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this function is to supervise and manage all Board and Board-related matters and to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of governance requirements and reporting requirements. This includes all matters from the basic organising of meetings, preparing, managing and reviewing reports, attending Board meetings and taking minutes, and liaising between Board members and stakeholder CEOs.
Responsibilities
Because of this organisation's function, you'll provide best practice governance administration and secretarial support, within the strict guidelines of set frameworks, compliance, policies and timelines, which are often quite tight!
The support team is not large so you'll also be required to be hands-on and pitch in with other tasks as required, including significant invoicing relating to Board matters, creating contracts and deeds, assistance with event management, and being back-up for customer and client interaction.
Helping shape the function long term is part of what is being sought.
Skill and Person Requirements
You will need practice in Board Administration and Secretariat and be accomplished in minute taking, posses exceptional written and verbal skills, be highly computer literate and up-to-date in the use of MS 365. Ideally you will be proficient in Te Reo and have had previous practice either working in an Iwi or M?ori Development organisation, or certainly have an affinity with M?ori tikanga. you will also be expected to keep up to date with any legislative changes that may impact on all aspects of the function and its responsibilities.
You'll be a strong team player, accurate in everything you do, be excellent at relationship management, totally customer focused, and self-managed in your approach to work.
The Offer
This is not a city or suburban located opportunity and is ideal for someone who does not want to spend peak hour in traffic. Therefore you'll need reliable transport as there are numerous location you may be required to visit. Normal business hours are expected but there may be the odd weekend or after hours meeting that you will need to attend.
The location will suit someone North Shore, Rodney, or out West.
On offer is an excellent hourly or everyday rate to reflect the skills you would bring to the function.
