ONO isthecommissioning of a polylogue- a collection of monologues - by sixM?oriand/orPasifikaplaywrights, eachwritinga ten-minute monologue onthetheme of aroha/alofa. Thesesix monologueswill then bewoventogether toforma70 minuteshow,to be presentedat Circa Theatre for TAHI Festival 2023. This is a paid opportunity and includes dramaturgical support, workshops and artistic resourcing forthecommissioning. Production/presentation at TAHI Festival in September 2023 will be contingent on further funding. This project isin partnership with Taki Rua, and commissioned with guidance from Playmarket.We welcome interest from established and emerging playwrights. TheKaupapa of TAHI is to provide a platform to bring together, celebrate and sustain solo theatre performers, collaborators and their workwithin Aotearoa. Through its annual festival, TAHI gathers soloists from aroundthenation - from established to emerging practitioners - to present work, collaborate, and make connections acrosstheindustry. Alongside premiering and showcasing solo performance, TAHI provides opportunities for practitioners to make work, extendthelife of their work, to up-skill, and to network through an integrated programme of performance, workshops, and forums.
