About the function
As our Kaim?tai – Mahi M?ori (Workforce Development Partner – M?ori and Equity) you will be responsible for the implementation of the Canterbury and West Coast DHB’s M?ori and Pacifica workforce development programmes to grow both the number and capcapability of our M?ori and Pacifica workforce and leaders, and our broader workforce diversity and equity.

In this function you will:
   » drive continuous improvement and advice within M?ori culture, tikanga and te reo to implement change initiatives
   » implement workforce development strategies to reduce M?ori health inequity
   » develop and implement programmes of work that support attraction/hiring, onboarding, development, and support of our M??ri and Pacifica talent
   » identify potential risks and biases in the end-to-end recruitment and talent management policies, frameworks and tools
   » identify opportunities to grow and embed cultural consciousness, responsiveness and safety of all staff.
To be prosperous in this function you will have:
   » practice in workforce development and equity and/or diversity, inclusion and belonging related functions
   » knowledge of te reo M?ori and tikanga, as well as the implementation of these into the wider organisational processes and practices
   » demonstrated knowledge of how to bring about people change through redesign of people systems and processes
   » practice growing M?ori and/or other diverse workforces and leadership abilities representation.
