Offer: 21/438 Senior Policy Analyst:Department of Internal Affairs - Te Tari TaiwhenuaJob description:Job Description? ?Type: PermanentHours: Full time Job location: W?ellington Business Group : P?olicy Group Branch: Policy, Regulation and Communities income: $92,135 – $124,652Join a small policy team working on internal business priorities » Build relationships with Regulatory and Service Delivery groups across the Department » Lead regulatory policy change projects start-to-finish » As part of the Departmental Priorities team in Policy, Regulation and Communities you will have the opportunity to contribute to supporting the safety, wellbeing and success of New Zealand communities, and provide advice and support to our Ministers in Government.The Departmental Priorities team has just been created to deliver policy projects that are needed to ensure that our Regulatory and Operational teams can continue to operate effectively. The team will be undertaking work in the following areas: » Updating regulations and bylaws relating to the Department's regulatory functions; » Undertaking reviews of fees and charging regulations rel?ating to third party revenue; and » Providing early policy input into service delivery priorities. To be prosperous in this function you will hav?e: ? » A tertiary qualification with a degree in policy, economics, science, commerce or other significant fields (e.g. research); » Excellent communication, research and analytical expertise; » Critical thinking expertise; » Team player expertise which will allow you to contribute to a suppor?tive team environment We are interested in receiving applications both from senior policy analysts, and senior operational policy analysts looking to expand their policy focus.
