   » Lead strategic planning and performance and accountcapability reporting
   » Provide strategic advice and support to the Deputy Chief Executive, PRC leadership abilities Team and business managers
   » Support initiatives and projects to improve PRC capcapability and effectiveness
Working at the Department of Internal Affairs, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of New Zealanders.
As part of Branch Strategy and Performance (BSP) in Policy, Regulation and Communities (PRC), you will have the opportunity to contribute to supporting the safety, wellbeing and success of New Zealand communities, and provide advice and support to our Ministers in Government.
The BSP team supports the Deputy Chief Executive and the wider Branch by:
   » leading Branch level strategic planning;
   » coordinating input into executeance reporting and accountcapability processes;
   » developing and delivering activity to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and engagement of PRC and DIA;
   » working with key stakeholders to ensure advice is well informed and able to influence others, and
   » leading Department-wide initiatives, projects and interests on behalf of the Branch.
We are seeking for someone who can provide strategic advice and support across the Branch, lead strategic and business planning, performance monitoring and accountcapability reporting, and lead medium complexity projects to improve Branch capcapability and effectiveness. Key to this function is expertise and practice of public sector accountcapability processes, the capability to provide strategic advice to senior leaders and build and maintain relationships.
