This is a challenging and compensateing function which will give you an insight into the workings of the Executive Government of today. You will be providing highlevel policy advice directly to the Minister across a range of portfolio responsibilities, with a real focus on our Pacific Peoples. An knowledge of Pacific communities, their languages and cultures would be highly advantageous. candidates must demonstrate a proven capability to effectively interpret a wide variety of information and resolve complex issues under pressure.this function interacts with a variety of people, organisations and sectors so the right applicant will have thecapability to quickly establish and maintain excellent working relationships. All candidates must have an excellent knowledge of existing government and public service protocols and processes.this function requires knowledge of political processes, political nous and the capability to contribute to policy proposals and submissions. practice in responding to Official Information Act requests, parliamentary questions and drafting correspondence and briefings is desirable.Outstanding written and verbal communication expertise and attention to detail are essential.
