Our Centre of Health and Social Practice delivers health professional programs in nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, counselling, social work and primary health care. Due to an increase of student numbers in our social work programme we have a full-time permanent position available within our social practice teaching team. To be eligible for consideration, you will be responsible for the following: » Have a competent application of m?tauranga M?ori in education » Hold a postgraduate qualification » Have sufficient expertise to teach psychology, sociology, human development and/or cultural identity to undergraduate social practice students » Possess a valid permit to live and work in New Zealand Are you an ideal candidate? Ideally you will also have the following, or be willing to work towards having the following: » A tertiary teaching qualification » An capability to teach te Tiriti o Waitangi related content, tikanga and te reo » Proven skills in both face-to-face and on-line teaching moderation and assessment You should also have access to reliable wifi services enabling frequent use of Moodle, Zoom and other teaching/learning platforms that we use in the delivery of our teaching. Social work educators are expected to hold a Master-level qualification. However, we have a very strong teaching team that can support the right person to work towards this requirement if required. This position would be appropriate for someone who is looking to start their career as an educator.
