Art Deco Trust is seeking an enthusiastic, practiced marketer for the position of Marketing and Membership Coordinator . As the Marketing and Membership Coordinator, you will work with the Heritage Manager / GM to develop and implement the marketing and membership campaigns for the Trust. You will create innovative and creative marketing strategies that will make an impact and ultimately generate interest, revenue streams, attendance and online traffic. You will be self-starting, energetic, autonomous and results orientated team member that executes the function proactively and independently with guidance from the management team.
To be prosperous in this function, you should have an knowledge and practice in the arts and heritage sector marketing, excellent copywriting expertise, a sound knowledge of social media and digital marketing as well as the capability to grow and develop an existing visitor database to deliver a targeted visitor attendance. Strong verbal and written communication expertise are essential as is excellent time and project management expertise. Along with the significant tertiary qualification marketing (or equivalent), you will have highly developed interpersonal expertise.
Key Responsibilities include:
   » supervise all communications to the membership and collaborate with departmental managers to ensure consistent and effective external communication across all channels.
   » Help develop and execute a marketing and communications strategy for theTrust.
   » Pro-actively help develop and maintain membership program and communications with external stakeholders to secure support for the work of the Art Deco Trust. Re-evaluate program when necessary, to review content, benefits and terms.
   » Create deco stories to be released on social media in addition to our blog, this will help us turn up in more general Art Deco related search results. Helping us build the idea that we are the voice of Art Deco and that this is the place you go to help let the spirit of Art Deco shine on.
   » Work closely with the Heritage Manager / GM to ensure the effective communications and distribution of funds raised through the Robert McGregor Heritage Fund. (Including this development in the social posts we create).
   » Social media management and weekly to monthly timetabling, these will be communicated and decided with departmental managers to confirm no overlap. Information technology is likely this function will absorb a lot of the posting responsibility.
   » Organiseall marketing and promotions of theTrust - ensuring Information technology is effective, with consistent messaging. This includes developing a website for the domain artdeconapier.com that is more user friendly and inline with our message/brand. As well as working on new campaigns (paid or otherwise) to promote new products or the general message/ story of the Art Deco Trust. Creating new branding tools such as imagery, social templates, and specific language.
   » Managing Google Analytics, Google Task Manager/ Search Console, Google Tagging, and general statistics of the website/ user journey whether through google, IBIS or Webfox.Keep on top of website's SEO and new ways to improve this as Google updates itself and the way Information technology assesses sites. Repairing the website and keeping on top of broken links, redirects and general malfunctions.
   » Manage contacts within Mailchimp/ communications databases.
   » Produce and release a quarterly newsletter to the membership base informing them of what the Art Deco Trust has achieved but also engaging them in the Art Deco conversation. Ensuring we are the voice of deco.
   » Administer, develop, grow, and cultivate our membership base to maximise engagement and revenue for the Trust.
   » Liase with the Finance and Administration Manager who prepares the grant applications, and relationship manage grant funders. Work with and support internal stakeholders in order to meet on-going reporting requirements of funders.
   » Social posts/ plan for shop, walks & tours, heritage, festival and more. Goal - become the voice of deco to reach a wider, more inclusive and diverse audience to reflect our Festival motto - How will you Deco?
Selection Criteria:
   » At least two years' practice in relationship management, fundraising or a related area e.g. marketing/sponsorship.
   » A significant, tertiary qualification, or management practice, would be valuable.
   » prosperous track record in achieving fundraising or financial targets.
   » practice in preparing high quality written material such as proposals and reports and delivering compelling presentations.
   » Excellent Information technology expertise including the capability to use databases to manage donor/membership relations.
   » capability to communicate clearly and effectively, relating well to a wide variety of people.
   » capability to identify opportunities and develop both strategic and tactical responses, knowledge the broader issues and opportunities to develop an effective course of action.
   » capability to take responsibility for own actions and seek opportunities to improve work and administrative procedures.
   » capability to generate creative and practical ideas, and solutions to problems.
   » practice in utilising different strategies to gain the support of stakeholders for an idea or proposal and endeavour to influence beliefs where significant.
   » Strong financial acumen.
   » Time management expertise, with the capability to juggle multiple conflicting priorities.
   » Passion for the heritage of Napier/Hawkes Bay and Art Deco.
   » Appreciation and knowledge of working in the not-for-profit sector.
