However, our clients capacity is almost full and would like to add a new team member to enable them to increase capacity in all areas of the business and design process. Initially this would be to learning from and working with the design director, then progress to meeting clients for the initial site meetings, producing initial sketch drawings, liaising with clients & our drafting team through the design process. These steps are critical so they are needing an experienced as well as talented Architect with suitable skills to take on and drive this role, allowing the company to prosper & take on more exciting and innovative projects. Their Ideal Candidate will have the following: » experience in meeting clients, turning conversation, needs & wants into a design as well as building rapport » positive & engaging interaction » proven sales ability to make successful conversions » sketch on the fly - during client discussions » an ideal understanding of budgets, including building costs, products & processes within NZ » quick to interpret multi-district planning rules, consent notices and covenants » bring experience to the team and add another level of innovative thinking » ability to check & mark up full working drawings » an understanding of CAD drafting programs (predominantly ArchiCAD & Revit) » leadership of a drafting team working on multiple projects at any given time, and maintaining client interaction & discussions » turn visions into designs, for people & projects » approachable, understanding and the ability to deliver bad news (in relation to meeting project budgets) What they will offer you! » Flexibility in the workplace - flexibility of work days & hours » flexibility of work location throughout Northland » rewarding and competitive salary as well as an enjoyable work/life balance » welcoming team with a hard work ethic, driven and completion focussed Location With offices in Kaitaia, Kerikeri and Whangarei our client is flexible as to the preferred base location, however travel within Northland and around NZ will be necessary as part of this new and exciting role.
