The opportunity: Day to day you will: » Manage and plan the "day to day" construction operations ensuring that assigned projects are completed to the standards required by the client and their consultants, within established financial budget, and delivered to programme and in accordance with project specifications. » Accurately interpret plans, specifications and instructions and supervise construction of the works in terms of them. » Keep up to date sets of contract drawings, specifications, and instructions in tidy and good condition on site. » Ensure that there is sufficient plant and equipment on site for the work being undertaken and liaising with those responsible for its provision. » Plan labour and material requirements and sub-contractor inputs generally in conjunction with the Project Manager and maintain the front-line liaison with suppliers and subcontractors necessary to ensure the smooth running of the project. » Assist Project Manager/QS to promptly resolve any unforeseen problems that may cause any financial impact or delays to the project's completion About you: » Have extensive experience in construction management of large-scale commercial projects. » Strong technical and project planning skills. » Understand profitability issues associated with project/understand construction cost plans. » Disciplined and self-motivated with a positive approach to work. » Customer focused and committed to providing a high quality of service. » Effective time management skills. » Effective and professional communicator.
