About the function » Develop and implement a strategy for an education and outreach programme - opportunities to engage, participate and have fun. » Support the development of teaching expertise and capabilities across all education staff. » Initiate and maintain relationships with schools, organisations and communities to promote The Court Theatre productions, education programmes, Theatre sports in Schools, workshops and touring productions. » Manage the Youth Company programme. » A real interest in working with students, young people and future practitioners in theatre performance. A strong education programme at The Court fosters and nurtures the future of theatre in New Zealand through drama and improv classes, holiday programmes, workshops, theatre intensives, master classes and the Ambassadors, Youth Company and Youth Crew programmes. Those involved in the education programmes find a safe space to play and explore in a place free of judgement, where everyone's individuality is celebrated. What you will need » 5 years' professional practice in a significant field (education, drama/performing arts, outreach and engagement) » practice leading workshops and/or teaching drama and theatre expertise » practice working with children and young people » Good administration and Information technology expertise » practice managing staff » A can-do and flexible attitude - grab opportunities and run » Degree level qualification in a significant field.
