The Digital Public Service Branch works across the public service to connect, influence and support the system to take advantage of new digital opportunities. Information technology also supports the Government Chief Digital agent (GCDO) to drive the government's digital transformation and position government to succeed in a changing and evolving digital age.
This work is critical to delivering on people's expectations of faster, more accessible and integrated digital services.

About the function:
Reporting to the Director Agency Partnerships you will be responsible for developing and implementing the GovTech Graduate Programme, supporting a unique programme that provides a consistent approach to hiring, development and management of career digital talent. This programme includes a wide breadth of digital opportunities with reach through graduate entry, recruitment, mentoring, career path development and both individual and group development. Working collaboratively with HR, the Digital Public Service Branch, across government agencies as well as key partners such as Student Job Search, you will lead on the attraction, development and retention for our graduate cohorts, in addition to taking the lead on the strategic direction to further fund and grow the programme across government.
The function will focus on:
   » Identify expertise gaps, coaching and training needs across cohort intakes to ensure that we are supporting and retaining current graduate cohorts in addition to keeping up with changing market needs
   » Design and deliver a strategy that delivers and sources exceptional future digital talent pool
   » Manage the development, iteration, and revision of programme specifications, ensuring that cohort practice is consistent and run effectively
   » Embed a culture where we strive to continuously improve, optimise, and streamline the practice and mitigate against risks
   » Partner with agencies, suppliers, education providers and HR teams to execute activities, provide a return on investment and ensure quality hires
   » Actively consolidate and maintain cohort feedback to acquire data on programme delivery
   » Track the development of program participants; report out to key stakeholders on progress with the use of easy to understand dashboards and leading metrics.
About you:
You will be a strategic thinker who is very well organised – able to deliver operationally with strong decision-making expertise and the motivation to handle multiple deliverables at one time. You will need the following:
   » practice of designing and implementing prosperous graduate programmes from attraction strategy and marketing campaigns, through to delivery
   » A thorough knowledge of the graduate/ digital market to help us meet our future expertise needs
   » A strong level of knowledge of industry trends which will help inform continuous improvement across the programme
   » Supremely organised with excellent planning expertise, able to prioritise and able to work to competing demands
   » passionate about developing talent and enhancing performance to effectively coach and mentor individuals to be their best
   » high attention to detail and outstanding writing expertise, you'll have a natural capability to quickly present information in a concise, accurate and easy to understand form
   » a high degree of resilience coupled with a proactive and pragmatic approach
   » some contract management practice
   » able to work with a range of stakeholders in a sensitive and appropriate way
