He k?rero m? te t?ranga – The function While employed by Emerge Aotearoa, the function will report into our National Manager Mind & Body. Mind& Body is a subsidiary of Emerge Aotearoa and provides values-located peer led services across Aotearoa. Our Mind & Body Kaimahi use their own personal lived practice of mental distress and/or addiction challenges and recovery to nurture hope and personal power inspiring others to move forward with their lives. In this key function, you are given the opportunity to nurture the lived practice voice within our Midland’s region and champion the wisdom that comes from people’s lived practice and practices of accessing services from our whole organisation. You need to demonstrate a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi which is reflected in your practice. A prosperous candidate will embrace our values and strategic pou which will be reflective in your mahi. It’s important you are skilled in systemic advocacy and change and able to work alongside teams to ensure services and systems are responsive, inclusive and privileges lived practice and diversity. As a partner within the regional leadership abilities team and other business partners you can address and enhance organisational systems, processes and ensure practices address the inequities practiced by our tangata whaiora. Covering the whole of our Midlandregion means travel will be an essential requirement. The prosperous candidate will be required to work closely with other lived practice partnerson various projects and initiatives. Our preferred locations are Tauranga or Hamilton where we have hubs and the work hours are Monday to Friday 30 hours per week, over four or five days. He k?rero m?u– About you Drawing on your own lived practice of mental distress and/or addiction and accessing mental health services you can influence and shape recovery-oriented services and systems. Your background will include previous practice in a coaching and/or influencing function developing people and/or services to meet the needs of tangata whaiora. You will be a positive, change agent with demonstrated success of having enhanced the voice of lived practice across either systems, services, processes or an organizational capcapability point of view. In addition, you will have the following: » A significant degree/qualification in adult learning, social service, health or other significant qualification » An knowledge of the mental health, addictions, disabilities and/or social services sector » Active involvement in networks in the communities in which this function operates Ko t? m?tou mahi– We offer In addition to a function where you can use your personal journey to influence positive change and innovation in mental health services, you will be doing so in a national organisation with opportunities for you to grow and develop.
