Background

This medium size national public sector organisation is on a growth trajectory and has the opportunity for a visionary and forward-thinking CIO to lead its digital transformation journey as Information technology embraces new technologies to enhance operational and business performance.
The Opportunity
In this function you will work closely with a cross section of business leaders to understand their requirements and provide sound advice, solutions and value-adding opportunities to enable the business and drive-up engagement across the organisation. Having the IS lens, your broad remit covers ?all things technology and information' from strategic and operational viewpoints, including developing the governance framework and business standards for information technology, risk management, business continuity, Information technology service management and data security, and the strategic development and management of technologies and information management to achieve organisational goals and program priorities.
You will lead and develop the technology team to have a strong business partnering and value-add approach ensuring high quality services are delivered in a timely manner across the organisation and will work closely with the business improvement team on programme, project and change priorities.
Requirements
Key competencies sought include proven collaborative and effective leadership abilities expertise at ELT level together with strong commercial acumen, governance, strategic planning, stakeholder management, project and change management expertise and practice, preferably gained within the public health, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, regulated or Government sectors where there has been a strong degree of complexity and you have prosperously led an organisation through digital transformation. You will need to have at least 10 years' practice in technology leadership abilities and have held ELT level positions to be considered for this function, together with an inclusive, empowering, inspirational, pragmatic and highly respected and valued leadership abilities style.
