Our busy client is looking for a Payroll Officer to join their team on a 6-month fixed term basis. The role is working 1 day every week, on a Tuesday. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a pivotal role in their organisation. You will be responsible for all aspects of payroll processing and compliance, utilising TimeFiler and IMS Payroll. Key responsibilities of the role include: » Processing of weekly payroll ensuring timesheets are processed accurately » Adding new employees to payroll » Calculating and processing all requests for leave and final pays » Managing payroll queries To be successful you will ideally have the following: » Solid payroll experience » Knowledge of New Zealand payroll legislation/holidays act » Experience with collective agreements » Highly organised with great time management skills » Methodical work habits with high attention to detail » Strong computer skills in MS Word/Excel & Data Entry » Excellent communication skills » Team Player This role is initially for 1 day a week for six months, but it may extend or develop in to more. Training may be required on other days in addition to the Tuesday to begin with and there also may be times where additional work is available.
