We’re working to ensure children and young people are safe and flourish in Aotearoa New Zealand. We all have a function to play in preventing violence and harm from happening in the first place.
With ACC, you’ll be supporting people in Aotearoa to stay safe by minimising the incidence and impact of injury, as well as helping them recover from injury if an accident does happen. In this function as our avoidance Workforce Lead you will be responsible for providing thought leadership abilities and technical advice on ACC’s approach to building a community avoidance workforce development plan for wellbeing and eliminate family and sexual violence.
Informed by evidence and a strong knowledge base of workforce community led avoidance, in this function you will provide expert advice and leadership abilities on ways to make long term impacts on intergenerational attitudes and behaviour change and connecting ACC to the avoidance system.
You will play a key function in ACC’s approach to prevent sexual violence and family violence you are identifying the support system functions with communities to help build their own capcapability, creating their own evidence approaches and holistic wellbeing.
Some of the important mahi you will do:
   » Lead and influence and drive ACC’s approach to building capcapability and capacity of the primary avoidance workforce
   » Create and lead opportunities that will support the growth of the avoidance workforce and grow violence avoidance skills in the existing workforce
   » Build and upskill our internal capcapability through advice and support to enable and enterprise-wide approach to sexual violence, family violence and community led avoidance
   » Provide a strong link between ACC and the workforce by developing and supporting networks, communities of practice and primary avoidance partnerships that ACC can leverage for community change.
To be prosperous in this function you will:
   » be a strategic thinker, develop and present ideas to senior level audiences
   » have skills in avoidance of sexual violence, family violence and community led workforce avoidance here in Aotearoa and overseas is a must
   » demonstrate practice of leading and providing advice and or leadership abilities in all aspects of workforce avoidance
   » have a deep knowledge and practice of engaging and leading change with communities, particularly with M?ori, Pacific, Rainbow, those with Disabilities and or migrant communities
   » have excellent verbal and written communication skills to develop and deliver a workforce commissioning plan
   » have a natural capability to convey important and complex information in a way that connects to the audience
   » have sound judgement with an analytical capability allowing you to assimilate complex information and provide advice accordingly.
   » have a commitment to te Tiriti led approaches and to Wh?ia te Tika, ACC’s strategy
   » be able to lead, coach and influence others, particularly those in the community and agencies
   » help build and support your peers capcapability and knowledge of workforce avoidance.

It’s tough, complex, and demanding nonetheless at the same time compensateing piece of mahi to be part of. We offer a supportive working environment with flexible working options of up to two days work in the house. The function is competitively remunerated – with the income range from $118k to $152k (pending practice) plus a further nine percent superannuation for a combined package.
