Ko t? m?tou mahi – Our function In this function, you’ll support the Te Kurutao Regional Manager with developing and fostering key M?ori partner relationships within the region. This will include coordinating and performing actions required to positively strengthen the relationships between K?inga Ora and Iwi/r?p? M?ori, including providing support and guidance to the regional teams in Te Tai Tokerau and T?maki Makaurau. Ng? p?manawatanga ?u – What you will bring: » You’ll have a wealth of practice working with iwi and r?p? M?ori at a regional/national level » Knowledge and knowledge of contemporary dynamics of M?ori housing, with practice working with M?ori in housing or similar settings, is advantageous but not essential » You’ll be competent in tikanga M?ori, and confident operating in a wide variety of M?ori environments. Ideally you will be a fluent or native speaker of Te Reo M?ori » You will be a capable educator, growing the organisation’s cultural competence to deliver impactful results in partnership with M?ori » Naturally, you’ll have an inherent knowledge of the implications of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and also an knowledge of M?ori perspectives in the context of historical and contemporary urban development.
