Closes 20 Jul 2021 Posted on 6 Jul 2021 Region Online, National, Auckland Work type Full time employment Work classification Design, Literature & Publishing, Marketing & Media ShareVerve Magazine, Auckland's favourite free magazine, is seeking a talented graphic designer to head their design department, working across Verve monthly magazine, Verve website, and Verve Weekly edm.Situated in Grey Lynn, Verve was established 17.5 years ago, and over this time has built up an broad client base of advertisers, and a loyal following of readers. You'll need at least 3 - 4 years' practice working in magazines as a graphic designer, and broad expertise of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Indesign. You'll be confident creating stylish, fresh and innovative layouts in keeping with Verve magazine's style. You'll be working closely with a tight knit team on a range of responsibilities including magazine design, liaising with pre-press, updating of website and regular edms. Monthly deadlines mean you'll need to work efficiently and well under pressure, and have excellent organisational and time management expertise. A formal graphic design qualification is essential. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, vibrant team, and be the designer on a well-regarded title.
