In this role, you'll be packing meat products on the line and preparing box supplies for distribution across New Zealand. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

   »Cleaning Tasks : Primary responsibility is maintaining cleanliness throughout the factory.
   »Daily Operations :
   » Start with pre-rinsing equipment.
   » Apply salt, followed by a thorough rinse and sanitization.
   » Engage in full washdowns, utilizing a significant amount of water.
   »Chemical Handling :
   » Work with water and chemicals, ensuring proper verification and management of concentrated chemicals on-site.
   » Chemicals will be diluted as per safety protocols.
   » Safety precautions are crucial; goggles provided may fog up quickly.
   »Physical Activities :
   » Some bending involved while cleaning.
   » Clean bins used for meat, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized.
   » Trained operators will handle large machines; temps will focus on cleaning floors, walls, euro bins, and smaller machines.
   » Minimal lifting; mostly moving items around and holding hoses.
   »Safety Protocols :
   » Use hot water carefully; do not point it at others.
   » Be aware of major hazards associated with diluted chemicals; only trained personnel will handle these.
   » Rarely, may need to operate a water blaster.
   »Training and Development :
   » Initial training during the first week includes shadowing a supervisor and performing smaller tasks, gradually progressing to more complex duties.
   »Production Support :
   » During late-night production runs, there may be opportunities to assist on the production line if needed.
   »

   »Compliance : Ensure adherence to all work health and safety regulations.
   »Promotion : Advocate for and communicate health, safety, and environmental issues to the appropriate staff.
