Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, manages the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of around 2,100 schools with a book value of $19.6 billion, the largest payroll in the country, and transportation of over 100,000 students to and from school each day.

The EIS Business Systems team works with the Ministry Information Technology Group and other stakeholders to ensure the effective, pragmatic, smart reuse and management of data, information management systems and technology across EIS. This activity supports efficiencies in BAU and new business activity as well as ensuring business information and systems are performing optimally delivering expected results and are fit for purpose.
About the function
Reporting to the Manager – Systems and Analysis, this function is responsible for ensuring the delivery of the administrative and governance requirements of the Ministry in relation to project methodology, reporting and financial management.
Your key priorities will include the following:
   » Administrative Support
   » Recruitment/Procurement
   » Induction of Project Staff
   » Financial Management
   » Reporting
About you
You will have a significant tertiary qualification and practice in Project Coordination.
To be prosperous in this function you will have a good knowledge of project management processes with a developed knowledge of the project life cycle, documentation, standards and agile methodologies.
Ideally you will have industry recognised Project Management certification, and demonstrate achievement drive, ambition, optimism and delivery focus.
You will also offer the following:
   » knowledge of government processes
   » Financial systems knowledge ideally with Oracle financials
   » Capacity to work under pressure to ensure that critical timeframes are met
   » Can work autonomously and a part of a team
   » Strong written and oral communication expertise
   » Good attention to detail
