Working at the Te Tari Taiwhenau/ Department of Internal Affairs, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of New Zealanders.
Ue te H?n?tore/The Local Government Branch provides policy advice to Ministers on key strategic policy issues facing the local government sector.
The enhancing relationships iwi/Maori and local government work programme is an exciting opportunity to support the continuing implementation of place-located initiatives such as Aotearoa Reorua bilingual towns and cities and Tatai Aronga a data portal to inform decision-making over significant natural resources. We are seeking for a person with programme and stakeholder management expertise and practice who is enthusiastic and driven to make a difference for iwi/Maori, local government and communities. As you will be working closely with and supporting one of the Local Government Partnership Directors, you can expect to be involved in a wide variety of exciting opportunities and discussions that will further contribute to the enhancing relationships iwi/Maori local government work programme.
The prosperous candidate will have a sound knowledge of the machinery of government but will also be confident working from a Te Ao M?ori context to prosperously progress the work programme. You will also be comfortable using te reo me ona tikanga M?ori
