We are located next to the beautiful Elephant Rocks in North Otago, 2 hours drive to the adventure playgrounds of Wanaka and Queenstown and 25 minutes to Lonely Planet NZs coolest town Oamaru! We require a capable person/couple to join our team and assist in the day to day jobs required of running our 1200 cow dairy farm with first class facilities and machinery. Responsibilities will include milking, feeding cows, calf rearing, general farm maintenance and gardening. We offer quality two bedroom accomodation on farm, a flexible time off roster, competitive hourly rate and a positive work environment. The job starts from 1 December and can have a negotiable finish time but ideally we would like you until at least February so we can give the rest of the guys plenty of time off over summer. Some previous practice working on a farm or with animals would be an advantage but not a prerequisite, we can also make jobs to suit with building or carpentry practice. Most importantly you need to be able to listen, communicate english clearly, be a quick learner and work positively in a team.
