Job Opportunity: Manager Governance and Secretariat:Public Service CommissionJob description:Job DescriptionTe Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission leads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.The Public Service Fale was established to support and enable the work of Pacific Public Service Commissioners. The Public Service Fale will work respectfully with the Governing Board and Pacific Public Service Commissioners to understand their needs, to facilitate access to expertise and resources, to support mutual learning, and to provide other assistance as requested. To do this we build deep relationships with Pacific Public Service Commissioners and their teams. The Public Service Fale will work efficiently and responsively to deliver results under the direction of the Deputy Commissioner, Governance Board Chair and Governance Board. The Manager, Governance and Secretariat, supports the Deputy Commissioner and leads the Fale Governance and Secretariat team by improving its performance, providing leadership abilities and advice on PSC governance structures and planning processes. This will include: Supporting the Governance Board, Contract and procurement management and reporting to MFAT. Strategic and operational business planning and oversight for the Public Service Fale. Financial planning and reporting, risk planning and mitigation. Support event management including annual conference, Governance Board meetings and other events. Support Communications planning and delivery.
