Auckland Choral is seeking a Production and Marketing Manager to help the Artistic Director & Conductor stage four to five concerts a year and ensure the Choir runs smoothly and engages prosperously with its audiences, artists and funders. The function is half-time, permanent and offers excellent flexibility, including working in the house most of the time and could be, if Information technology suited, primarily during school hours with occasional weekend and evening work related to executeances and dress rehearsals. income commensurate with practice and in the range of $30,000 to $35,000 pa. Particular areas of responsibilities are: •ensuring instrumentalists and soloists are engaged, and venues arranged, for each concert •arranging for the smooth running of approximately 40 rehearsals and workshops each year •marketing the Choir's concerts in collaboration with the Choir's Marketing Committee •making funding applications in collaboration with the Choir's Funding Committee •assisting the Artistic Director & Conductor as appropriate You are able to: •work harmoniously with music and venue professionals as well as Choir volunteers •work efficiently and accurately without direct supervision •assess what needs to be prioritised without neglecting the details •communicate effectively and empathetically •formulate and carry out marketing strategies You have practice with, or interest in, most of the below: •the arts generally •choral music more specifically •event management •marketing For more information please visit our website www.aucklandchoral.com or call Richard Sorrenson (Chair) at 0204-767-767.
