Farm adjunct X2:Job description:Farm adjunct X2Payment: Accommodation & Paid ($23)Job location: Ashburton Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 05/04/2022 Hi, We are after a couple or team of x2 farm adjuncts to help our team over the upcoming busy calving season. (roughly 3 months from mid July). A bit about our farm, we are situated in Canterbury, 10-15mins from the town centre of Ashburton (which has Mc Donalds and Supermarkets) 1 hour from the ski slopes of Mt Hutt and around a 5hr drive to Queenstown. Our farm is one of the largest farms in Canterbury wintering around 2000 cows. We have a team of 8 from all over the world. And over calving we employ extra staff to help us as our farm is GO GO GO! The job would consist of helping our team out with everyday jobs including milking, picking up calves, setting up fences, cleaing up and just generally helping us get through. There is also a bit of calf rearing involved, training them to drink, tubing and caring for our beautiful babies. You need to be fit as the job is physical, and have a positive happy attitude. We offer your own furnished house on farm (which is why we would prefer a couple or team as you will be living together). a 5/2 roster and roughly 55hours per week at peak. No practice is nessecary as we are happy to teach you what you need to know, however if you have animal practice or can ride a motorbike that would be awesome.
