The function will develop and maintain connections with international counterparts to implement the NZ National Commission for UNESCO strategic plan and build capcapability for a sustainable, healthy and more peaceful future for Aotearoa New Zealand. This is a 12 month fixed-term function that will provide an ‘injection’ of skills to implement a programme of activities that reflect national priorities. Specifically this function will include providing targeted support to the following: » Implement work programmes in Oceans, Indigenous expertise, Freedom of Expression priority areas » Support the UNESCO Aotearoa Youth Leaders work programme » Deepen regional Pacific and international relationships The Ministry’s International Division leads the Ministry’s wider international education engagement strategies, international education policy and key bilateral and multilateral international engagement to ensure all learners and education providers benefit from flows of expertise, people and services internationally.
