We're on the lookout for someone to encourage new radio programme and podcast makers to join Wellington Access Radio by working with local community groups, organisations, and individuals, while increasing consciousness of Wellington Access Radio all over the region. Working for a non-profit with a small team you'll need to be comfortable multi-tasking and turning your hand to all areas of the station. The function includes: » Networking with potential programme maker groups » Supporting programme makers on their journey to become broadcasters » Facilitating special content series » Networking in the region to understand the needs of the community » Networking in the region to promote the station » Administration of databases and contact lists » Administration of radio schedule and broadcast output data » Website content management » Assistance with programme and station marketing and social media » Assistance with grant applications and resolutions » Assistance with advertising and sponsorship campaigns » Assistance with events You will be one of four staff, and report directly to the Station Manager. You will contact with operational staff, volunteers, and the community. The position is 30-35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Funded by NZ on Air, as a public service, not-for-profit and non-commercial broadcaster the station delivers over 90 programmes every week. Programming features local arts, culture, NZ music, women, students, youth, LGBTQIA+ communities, people with disabilities, and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
