Job Offer: Interviewer – Pay Equity Claims:Public Service CommissionJob description:Job DescriptionTe Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission leads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.Government is committed to achieving pay equity, which means women and men who perform work of the same value should be paid the same, even though their jobs may be different. We are currently progressing two pay equity claims with the New Zealand Public Service Association (PSA). A cross-agency pay equity programme team has been established to manage the claims on behalf of the 43 public sector agencies who are party to the claims. These claims are some of the largest and most complex that have been brought to date and present a unique opportunity to contribute to a process that will make a tangible difference in the lives of many public servants. This is an interesting function for practiced interviewers looking to support pay equity across the public sector. this function is critical in assessing the work in the scope of the claims and helping to provide good quality information that the assessment of the work will be located on. You will need to be practiced in asking open questions, free from bias in a friendly and open manner and able to put interviewees at ease. You may have done interviewing as part of a function (marketing/HR/recruitment) or as part of postgrad research. Whilst interviewing is the primary focus of the work, if you also have qualitative analysis expertise please highlight this in your application. We are seeking for a number of interviewers to work over an initial period of 6 months starting in May. We would be open to discussing what flexible work arrangements might work for you and are also open on location. We would be happy to consider an inter-agency secondment or an as and when required arrangement. capability to travel would be a bonus but not essential. This position usually pays between $54,910 to $67,830 depending on expertise and practice.
