The Department of Internal Affairs' Digital Safety team is a risk-located, responsive and modern regulator providing effective regulatory services in an increasingly complex, borderless, and digital world.We are seeking for a Senior Advisor Engagement and Innovation to be part of our team in Wellington.
You will be joining a team where we work to ensure the online safety of New Zealanders. Here you will get to contribute to the online safety of all New Zealanders, but especially children and young people..
About the function:
The Personal adjunct provides consistent and dependable personal, secretarial and administrative support services to the Director Regulatory System and support to the Directorate management team and directorate staff where required.
The scope of this function includes:
   » Proven excellent communication expertise, both written and verbal
   » Strong stakeholder relationship management focus and interpersonal expertise, with the capability to interact with people at all levels
   » Team focused work ethics and the capability to work collaboratively across team boundaries
   » Detail focused with the capability to anticipate risks and the consequences of decisions and commitments
   » capability to prioritise workloads and negotiate deadlines in the face of competing demands under minim
   » al supervision
   » Fast and accurate keyboard expertise
   » The capability to lead, prioritise and actively manage multiple work streams within tight time constraints
   » A high standard of verbal and written communication expertise - including strong attention to detail
   » An innovative mindset with the capability to effect change in a collaborative environment
   » Proven initiative and a proactive working style, with an eye on continuous improvement
Preferred candidates will be required to undergo psychometric profiling as part of our selection criteria. There may be minimal exposure to harmful content due to the nature of the work.
