Drivers AssistantLocation Queenstown & WanakaOtago Job type Full Time Salary to Category Transport, Shipping, Logistics > Other » Support the driver with loading, unloading, and delivering gas cylinders » Physical fitness to lift and carry cylinders (up to 20kgs) throughout the day » Adaptable to varying hours, including weekends and public holidays We are seeking a Delivery Runner to join our Wanaka Depot team for the busy summer period. In this physically demanding role, you will assist our drivers in the delivery of gas cylinders. You will not be required to drive but will work alongside the driver to ensure smooth and efficient deliveries to customers. Key Responsibilities: » Assist drivers with the safe and timely delivery of gas cylinders to customers in Wanaka and surrounding areas. » Load and unload gas cylinders from the truck. » Ensure accurate delivery and maintain excellent customer service at all times. » Work as part of a team with the driver, supporting them in delivering orders. » Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Working Hours & Shift Details: »Monday to Friday: Normal shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (40 hours per week). Some days may require longer hours depending on the workload. »Saturday: 7:00 AM until finish (typically up to 6 hours). Saturday work is not guaranteed but may be required depending on workload. »Public Holidays: You will be required to work on public holidays, except for Christmas Day (25th December) and New Year's Day (1st January). Requirements:» Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor - must be able to lift and carry 20kgs all day long.» Availability to work Saturdays and public holidays during this period. » Reliable and committed to working the full duration of the contract. » Strong team player with good communication skills. » No driving required-must be comfortable assisting the driver with deliveries and manual tasks.
