The Opportunity As a key member of the Business Improvement team and reporting to the Director Business Improvement & Partnerships you will be responsible for managing the project management process at a strategic level ensuring initiatives across the business are effectively prioritised, coordinated, and communicated to ensure they deliver against strategy. You will maintain a national portfolio view of projects, including implementation planning and prioritisation activities, maintain project planning and management tools and provide project management skills, including business case development and coaching to develop staff capcapability. Managing the portfolio roadmap and projects register you will engage collaboratively with stakeholders to drive timely progress and completion of projects, assisting with the identification, mitigation, and management of risks, roadblocks, and delays and will provide insights on progress of the portfolio to the Executive Team. Requirements You will have proven practice in project, programme, or portfolio management together with practice in business case development, business and strategic planning, implementing change management strategies, coaching, mentoring, and best practice traditional and agile project delivery methodologies and techniques. Key to your success will be your adaptable and flexible approach and capability to build trust, credibility, rapport, and strong collaborative cross functional relationships with stakeholders as you navigate the organisations change journey together. You will have an influencing, facilitative, and supportive style and be a collaborative connector able to develop a project resource community to improve performance through shared practices. Further Details New Zealand Blood Service, a Crown entity operates with pace and agility. Information technology manufactures blood and blood products and also manages broad tissue banking facilities and is the national agency responsible for organ donation. Whilst health sector practice is not a prerequisite Information technology is likely that your practice will have been gained in regulated, manufacturing, pharmaceutical or Government sectors, with an knowledge of the importance of clinical safety, guidelines, and regulations. Some national travel will be required.
