This is a unique opportunity for a proven talented technology leader to be the catalyst and driver of change in the New Zealand Blood Service, which is a national organisation, keen to leverage new digital technologies that will enhance operational and business capabilities as Information technology continues to grow.
The Opportunity This is an influential leadership abilities function reporting to the CEO and is an effective functioning member of a high performing Executive leadership abilities Team. As a trusted advisor to the Executive, you will partner with the business to provide sound advice, solutions and opportunities that will enable the business, add value and drive-up engagement across the organisation. You will provide vision and leadership abilities for the strategic development and management of information, information resources, digital platforms, and technology to support the achievement of the organisation's mission, strategic goals and program priorities. You will develop and maintain the governance framework and business standards for information technology, risk management, business continuity, Information technology service management and data security, and Chair appropriate technology governance groups. Requirements An engaging, empowering and values driven leader, you will develop, coach, and lead a technology team to ensure the delivery of quality, timely and value adding services across the organisation. The capability to make significant change, have impact and influence, make a difference, and see tangible results in this function is real and will be highly valued as will the capability to develop strong partnering relationships internally and with external stakeholders. Further Details New Zealand Blood Service, a Crown entity is essentially a blood and blood product manufacturing business at its core and operates with pace and agility. Information technology also manages broad tissue banking facilities and is the national agency responsible for organ donation. Whilst health sector practice is not a prerequisite Information technology is likely that your practice will have been gained in regulated, manufacturing, pharmaceutical or Government sectors, with an knowledge of the importance of clinical safety, guidelines and regulations. Strong leadership abilities, governance, commercial acumen, strategic planning, project management, and change management expertise are essential as is the capability to develop and operationalise a comprehensive IS strategy that creates business value and ensures business continuity and security.
